How to access
Shiga Kogen Golden Line (Shiga Kogen Resort Gondola ⇔ Bunadaira Gondola ⇔ Higashidateyama Gondola)
Open period (subject to change): June 15th to November 4th
*Shiga Kogen Resort Gondola and Bunadaira Gondola will be closed for maintenance during September 9th to 13th. Higashidayeyama Gondola will be open.

Child One-way 1,200yen Round-trip 1day pass 1,800yen
Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more and for persons with disabilities.

the Higashitateyama Alpine Plants Garden
Once you step out of the Higashitateyama summit station, you are in the Higashitateyama Alpine Plants Garden at the altitude of 2000m. There are more than 500 species of alpine plants! This garden is perfect for one to two hours pleasant walk.
*Sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended for walking. Sandals and heeled shoes are not recommended.
Entrance fee: free
July is the best time to see Nikko kisuge daylilies. A yellow carpet spreads under the gondola line.
From June to September, many alpine flowers bloom in the Shiga Kogen.
The restaurant at the gondola station offers cheese fondue and the great view from the summit. You can also bring your own bento box and eat it on the wooden deck.
To return to the Yamanoeki station, be sure not to miss the last gondola at 3:30 pm from Higashitateyama summit station!
