Thanks to the difference in elevation, visitors can appreciate the autumn colors for a long period of time at Shiga Kogen Mountain resort. Yellow and red colored leaves gradually spread out from the top of Yokote-Yama Mountain at 2,300m above sea level to Hasu-Ike Pond and Kanman-Daki Waterfall at around 1,500m above sea level.

The national route 292, known as “Shiga Kogen Kusatsu route”, is the highest national route in Japan and is an ideal winding road for driving through the autumn foliage. Yokoteyama drive-in is also famous as sunset view point.
